EVENTS IN THE REGION NOV 15 TO DEC 14
1) Casinos do Algarve Rallye will be heading to the region Nov 21 & 22
Saturday night the rallye cars will be heading over to the Portimao Autodrome
for the Super Special Race at 21:00 then on Sunday the rallye will be taking place thought the Monchique area. The Spectator site areas will be well marked and if you want to see the cars up close and watch them perform the tune ups etc then head down to the Portimao Riverwalk !

2) Friday night Football Anyone ?? - Nov 27
Well as I sure many of you know we now have a local Algarve team in the Portuguese first division of football otherwise known as the Liga Sagres and that team is OLHANENSE ! SO why not enjoy some soccer sprit down here on November 27th when they host GUIMARAES.

3) Variety Show - Sunday Nov 22
The “Grand night of variety” show is taking place at the Lagoa Auditorium on Sunday Nov 22 - the show promises a wide range of great entrainment , including juggling acts, several musical groups, dancing performances and more.
Be Sure to Take part in the raffle in aid of the Algarve Donkey Sanctuary.
So why not Come out and support a local charity to aid the elderly and enjoy a fun evening in the process !

4) Amateur Fado Competition - Nov 28
I mentioned the Fado competition in my last show well the finals are happening on Saturday the 28 th of November at the Albufeira Municipal Auditorium. Again it s free event and the added bonus is that Ana Lains Portugals’ newest fado sensation
will be there !! Sounds like a fun time to me. Show starts at 9:30 PM - see you there!
5) Aljezur Bata Doce Festival - Fri Dec 4 - Sun Dec 6
The Annual Bata Doce Festival is taking place in Aljezur once again over the weekend of Dec 4 - 6. Enjoy the mighty Sweet Potato til your heart is content !!
Sample a great array of Sweet Potato treats prepared by the local restaurants and merchants in the area. Catch some live music and maybe pick up a few christmas goodies from one of the many local vendors that we will there.
The fun starts at 6:00 pm Friday and noon on the weekend
6) Swan Lake - Monday Nov 30
The Ballet Swan Lake has always conjured up the feelings of christmas for me and lo and behold the Algarve is going to have it’s own rendition of this classic on for one night only Monday Nov 30 !
Come out and enjoy this christmas tradition at the Arade Congress Centre in Parchel the show starts at 9:30 and tickets range from €22 - €25 .

7) Spirit of Christmas - Tuesday Dec 1
The Network womans group is holding it’s annual christmas fair at the Hotel Garbe in Armacao de Pera. This one day event runs from 11:00 to 17:00 and is your chance to pick up some great gifts or even some wonderful treats for the holiday season even pick up your wrapping, bows and cards while here !
Enjoy a fashion show, ball room dancing and more !
